So I finally feel like I recovered from 2014, and it’s time to reorganize and reenergize my life. I have been doing this since the beginning of the year, but lately I’ve made it a more conscious effort.
I’ve started cleaning out my closet quite literally. I just took another large bag of clothes for donation. I’ve also tried selling some of my stuff on Kijiji and my work classifieds. It’s quite fun to get a few bucks for things you aren’t using anymore. It does take a little bit of patience and time, but it’s also nice to have some extra cash on hand. Along with a massive amount of shredding I did a few months ago, I recently started to get rid of old school stuff and other useless papers. I’m talking articles etc that I saved from undergrad in 2008!
This cleaning has also allowed me to make a few changes in my apartment. I’ve decided that in order to meet financial goals I will be here a little longer. Not a big deal, I love my apartment and it’s location in my city. Just a few minor decorating changes to make it more comfortable.
As I mentioned in my last post, I’ve taken a break from online dating. I’ve started doing the things that I like to do, even if it is alone. Not quite as sad as that sounds. I think it is a great opportunity to meet some new people. I’ve also started eating better and spring time will allow me to spend more time outdoors.
Finally, I’ve reorganized my finances. Time to hunker down and meet some of my goals (car, house, etc). Time to spot spending on useless crap!
What are you doing to achieve your goals this year?
